Level Four Seven helps organisations explore whether emerging technologies can address practical operational, technical, sustainability, productivity, or strategic challenges.
We work with independent experts who help us assess and advise on technologies, markets, claims, risks, and pilot opportunities with greater depth.
Experts may be invited to support specific pieces of work where their expertise is relevant. This could include reviewing a technology provider, assessing technical or commercial claims, commenting on market fit, identifying risks, participating in meetings or workshops, or helping us understand whether a potential pilot opportunity is credible.
Their work is guided by Level Four Seven’s frameworks and processes, so each engagement has a clear purpose, structure, and expected output.
This role may be a good fit if you have specialist knowledge in areas such as engineering, manufacturing, energy, materials, climate, IP, finance, procurement, regulation, technology commercialisation, or sector-specific adoption.
We are especially interested in people who can bring practical judgement as well as specialist knowledge: people who understand how technologies are assessed, adopted, procured, piloted, or rejected in real organisations.
Experts help us make better-informed decisions.
Depending on your background, this may include helping us review:
You are not expected to sell Level Four Seven’s services or introduce clients. Your role is to provide informed, independent input where your expertise is relevant.
Experts are contracted on a case-by-case basis when a specific review, advisory need, meeting, or workshop matches their expertise.
Before any paid work begins, we agree the scope, timing, fee, confidentiality requirements, and expected contribution.
Depending on the assignment, your input may include:
Level Four Seven remains responsible for managing the wider relationship, shaping the engagement, and integrating evaluator input into the overall assessment or pilot strategy process.
Experts are paid for commissioned assignments.
Fees are agreed in advance based on the nature, complexity, and time required for each piece of work.
Registering your interest as an Expert does not guarantee paid work, and there is no obligation to accept an assignment.
We aim to keep engagements focused, practical, and respectful of your time.
Experts remain independent and non-exclusive.
We ask our experts to respect confidentiality, disclose any conflicts of interest, and avoid reviewing technologies, companies, or opportunities where they cannot provide impartial input.
Experts are not authorised to make commitments, negotiate terms, or act on behalf of Level Four Seven unless separately agreed in writing.
If you have specialist expertise and this sounds like something you’d like to be involved in, please register your interest using form below. We will be in touch to agree the next steps as soon as we have a project that fits your expertise.
